Accommodations
The Hilton Palacio del Rio sits directly on the San Antonio River Walk at 200 South Alamo Street, within easy walking distance of the Alamo, the Convention Center, and downtown’s restaurants and attractions. Built for HemisFair ’68 using pioneering modular construction (guest rooms were prefabricated off-site and craned into place), the 21-story, 485-room hotel is a piece of San Antonio history in its own right, with hacienda-style architecture and Spanish-inspired interiors.
Guests get river or skyline views, private balconies, and on-site dining that includes River’s Edge Café, a wood-fired pizzeria, Durty Nelly’s Irish pub, and a Starbucks. The property also offers a pool, fitness center, meeting and banquet space, and a rooftop garden overlooking downtown — making it a solid, central option for group gatherings. It holds a 4.4-star guest rating.

Take some time to explore San Antonio's famous River Walk, just steps from our home base at the Hilton Palacio del Rio. Wander the winding, tree-lined paths along the river, browse the shops and cafes, or simply relax at a riverside table and take in the view - all completely free and just outside our door. Whether you've got twenty minutes or spend the whole morning, it's the perfect way to unwind, catch up with friends, and soak in a bit of San Antonio charm.
Bacon and Bonbons ($15/per person)
There is nothing else like this in America. The Bacon & Bonbons Experience is not merely a tasting. It's a true immersion into the art of chocolate, wine, and bacon, all under one roof in the Texas Hill Country.
Your experience begins greeted by artisan chocolates made right here in Fredericksburg, up to three thoughtfully selected wines, a refreshing Dr. Pepper Coupe float, and the customer-favorite Wall of Bacon. Enjoy a progression of chocolates, unique confections, and exclusive wine pairings — every element designed to surprise you, to make you reconsider what pairings can be, and to leave you with a story worth telling.
Savor expertly paired wines from our DKM Cellars portfolio and our wine partners, each matched to handcrafted chocolates and confections that reveal unique flavor combinations you won't find anywhere else. Our bacon is prepared with brown sugar, agave, bourbon, cocoa nibs, and a touch of red pepper for a little kick.
Just when you think it can't get any better, we bring out the grand finale. Served in a coupe glass, we use Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream surrounded by a moat of Dr. Pepper and topped with shaved single-origin dark chocolate — our nod to some of the best ingredients from right here in Texas.

Natural Bridge Caverns ($15/per person)
Take a break from the gathering and head underground for a guided walking tour of Natural Bridge Caverns, one of the largest known caverns in Texas and a true natural wonder just outside San Antonio. Named for the massive 60-foot limestone bridge spanning its entrance, the cavern winds nearly three-quarters of a mile beneath the Texas Hill Country, revealing towering stalactites, stalagmites, and formations still growing today. A knowledgeable guide will lead the way through cool, dramatically lit chambers, sharing the history and geology behind one of the most spectacular cave systems in the country. It's an easy, family-friendly walk (paved and well-lit throughout) and a memorable way to spend a few hours together - all for just $15 per person.
